Engage with Strathclyde

Engage with Strathclyde

Engage with Strathclyde is one of the University’s key programmes for outreach and engagement events, helping staff communicate their research and KE to key audiences, and stimulate engagement and impact. Previously Engage with Strathclyde has run a programme of events around the start of May with a focus on engagement with industry, the third and public sectors, government and the wider community.

In 2025, Engage with Strathclyde is piloting a new approach to run a selective programme of events throughout the year and not just within a limited period.

If you have an idea for an event please complete the Engage with Strathclyde enquiry form and tell us about your event idea.  We have included some key considerations below to help you refine your idea:

  • Clear Goals & Impact: Events must have defined outcomes, explicit routes to impact, and follow-up plans.
  • Strategic Alignment: Must support key development areas and prioritise external audiences. This includes industry, third and public sectors, government and the wider community.
  • Audience & Attendance: Clearly identify target external attendees, their reasons for participation and understanding of demand.
  • Event Format & Timing:
    • Can run year-round, not limited to May.
    • In-person only
    • Shorter events tend to have better attendance.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up: Plans should be in place to maximize opportunities after the event.

We remain committed to providing opportunities for university staff to participate and host KE events for the wider community with the purpose of building and enhancing partnerships.
