The Strathclyde Centre for Molecular Bioscience (SCMB) draws upon Strathclyde’s strength, which spans the Faculties of Science and Engineering. Our researchers have unique expertise in medicinal chemistry & chemical biology, biopharmaceutical chemistry, chem/bioinformatics, analytical science, molecular and cellular biology, bioengineering and device design. We apply an integrated research ethos across these areas, which is used to address the most important biological and medical problems facing society.

Our researchers in the SCMB have expertise in the design and precision synthesis of small molecules and biologics. We are using this expertise to facilitate the development of new therapeutics.
