
One of the UK’s foremost telecoms experts has been appointed as a Visiting Professor of the University of Strathclyde.
Professor H Sama Nwana, who was formerly Group Director of Ofcom, the UK regulatory body for the communications industry, will be hosted by the StrathSDR (Strathclyde Software-defined Radio) team within the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Digital economy
Professor Nwana is co-Managing Partner for training-led consultancy company Cenerva, and works across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, advising regulators, development agencies, and companies on maximising opportunities the digital economy provides.
He holds a first degree in Computer Science & Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Computer Science, a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science from Aston University, Birmingham and an MA in Computer Science Education from Queens' College, Cambridge.
He also holds an MBA with distinction from the London Business School, University of London, and has published several scientific books, and technical papers over his career.
