Fusion Fest 2025: A Day of Ideas, Inspiration and Innovation Kicks Off This May in Glasgow

Glasgow City Innovation District has unveiled the agenda for Fusion Fest 2025, the headline event of Glasgow Tech Week, set to take place on Thursday 29 May at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre.

Aimed at the innovators, creators, technologists, and business leaders shaping the future of Scotland’s economy, Fusion Fest 2025 promises a bold, energising day of ideas, inspiration, and collaboration, bringing together global voices and homegrown talent to explore the cutting edge of technology, creativity, and purpose-driven growth.

Hosted by tech broadcaster Jason Bradbury, the one-day event features an unmissable speaker lineup, high-energy networking, and real opportunities to connect with founders, funders, and future collaborators.

Complex challenges

Alisdair Gunn, Director, Glasgow City Innovation District, said: "Fusion Fest is about more than just talks, it’s a celebration of what happens when ideas, technology, and talent collide. Kicking off the day is Greg Williams, Deputy Global Editorial Director of WIRED, with a talk on The Future of Tech, offering an inside look at the trends that are set to redefine industries and societies in the years ahead.

Attendees will also hear from local co-founders Fergus Moore and Scott Kennedy during a fireside chat, chaired by Gemma Carpenter from Glasgow City Innovation District, as they discuss their business Revive Eco and how sustainable innovation can spark national change.

The Made in Scotland panel showcases the country’s standout brands and businesses, featuring voices from Skyscanner, Harris Tweed, and more.

Jo Fairley, co-founder of Green & Black’s, shares how she built one of the UK’s most-loved ethical brands in an inspiring entrepreneurial journey.

Plus, insights from senior voices at JPMorganChase, IBM, and Barclays, headline sponsors of the event.

Fusion Fest offers attendees a full-day experience designed to spark conversations and fuel creativity. With networking coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and an exhibitor showcase, the event goes beyond the stage to build meaningful connections.
