Volunteering is a great way to gain experience and develop your skills and confidence. If you are new to the Glasgow area it is also a good way to meet new people while building your network. You typically only need to commit to a few hours a week and may have access to training through the organisation.

Strath Union volunteering
Opportunities range from roles on campus to volunteering with partner organisations across Glasgow and beyond. In addition, you can volunteer as part of a society, with student media, as a student representative or a student trustee.
All volunteers have access to support and training from the Union to ensure you have safe, fun, and rewarding experience. In addition, when you log your volunteer hours and skills on your Strath Union volunteer profile you will also gain access to additional rewards and recognition from the Union.
Sports Union coach and volunteer hub
Over 350 volunteers work tirelessly within the University of Strathclyde sports clubs undertaking a wide range of tasks, ensuring the successful development of their clubs.
Volunteering can take many forms and feedback from our student volunteers shows just how much they enjoy and value their volunteering work.
In return for your volunteering, we can provide support to help you access training and development opportunities, including subsidising costs where possible, and recognition for your volunteering.
