If your course is accredited by a professional body you may be able to join as a student member.

Membership will give you access to career-related resources, expand your network in a community of like-minded professionals and enable you to keep up to date with what’s going on in the profession.

Check your course pages to find out whether there is a professional body associated with your degree (the associated professional body/bodies will be listed on the course information page of the University website in the Why This Course section within Key Facts).

You can also use the Careers Service occupational resources to identify professional bodies for careers you are interested in and explore their website for career information and resources.  Students can often join professional bodies for free or at a significantly reduced rate whilst studying.
