Teaching abroad is a great way to experience another culture and work within a local community. Most programmes require little-to-no English teaching experience and will provide training in order to give you some confidence in the classroom. Below are some options our students have taken part in before, you can also search the Go Overseas website for more opportunities.

GOTOCO
  • Where: There are a variety of programmes in SE Asia, S America and various destinations in Europe. Check the Gotoco website.
  • Who: Anyone
  • Length: There are short programmes from 6 weeks. They also offer paid teaching fellowships for year long experiences
  • Cost: You will have funding to cover your meals and accommodation. From the end of August 2024, we will no longer have full funding for our programmes. After this date, only China & India will remain fee-free. All other countries will become low-cost (fee based).On all programmes- participants will need to cover their flights, insurance, visas, vaccines etc. On low-cost programmes, there will also be a fee of £1,400 for TEFL and support.

CCRC Asia Internships
  • Where: China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, UK
  • Who: There are over 18 fields covered, including business, Hospitality, Creative Design and Fashion. Check CCRC Website.
  • Length: 1,2 or 3 Months
  • Cost: 1 month internship program: £5400, 1 month placement only £2475
  • Housing included: Yes
