Summary

We offer a number of scholarships for our Faculty of Engineering applicants joining postgraduate research courses in 2025.

All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders with strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply. Please note - you must hold an offer to a full-time postgraduate research course and you must start during the 2024/25 or 2025/26 academic year.

You'll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your fees for each year of study. Postgraduate research degree applicants will be considered year round for the scholarships.

These scholarships will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall fees. 

Eligibility

To be considered for the Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship applicants should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree.

 

Important things to note:

  • If you're applying for postgraduate research degree course, you'll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your fees for each year of study.
  • The Faculty of Engineering’s International Scholarships are only open for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course within the University of Strathclyde’s campus in Glasgow. 
  • Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible.
  • These scholarships will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall fees. 
  • In order to be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time course in the 2024/25 or 2025/26 academic year.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Students who do not meet any of the required criteria in this announcement will automatically not be considered.
  • The Faculty of Engineering's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
