Summary

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught, self-funded, international fee-paying offer holders, joining the MSc Secondary Education programme in August 2025.

The scholarships will be awarded to the value of £5,000.

The scholarships will be awarded automatically upon confirmation of payment of deposit.

All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.

Please note, this scholarship cannot be combined with another award and will be available for year one of this 18-month programme only.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open for all international Postgraduate Taught students joining the MSc Secondary Education programme within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences in August 2025.

Important things to note

  • Applications are not necessary and you will automatically be considered upon confirmation of payment of deposit.
  • To be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study the full-time MSc Secondary Education programme in the 2025/26 academic year.
  • This scholarship may not be combined with another award and will be available for year one of this 18-month programme only.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in August 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
