Summary

To celebrate the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow, we are delighted to offer scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught, self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders, joining a full-time, on-campus, course in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in September 2025.

The scholarships will be awarded to the value of £5,000 or £7,000.

The scholarships will be awarded automatically upon confirmation of payment of deposit and this must be paid by the scholarship deadline date of 31/07/2025. 

All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open now for all international (non-EU) Postgraduate Taught students joining eligible programmes within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences in September 2025.

Important things to note

  • Applications are not necessary and you will automatically be considered upon confirmation of payment of deposit.
  • To be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time attendance course in the 2025/26 academic year.
  • Deposits must be paid be the scholarship deadline date of 31/07/2025.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Online and blended learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships. MSc Secondary Education is also excluded.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
