Summary

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of £2,000 Deans Excellence scholarships to Home (Scottish) and RUK students undertaking a full-time, one year, on-campus Masters programme.

The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.

All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for an award, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis and awards may be allocated early in the application cycle, so an early application for admission is advised.

*Please note the following programmes are excluded from this scholarship: all PGDE programmes, MSW Social Work, Professional Diploma in Legal Practice. The LLB Law (Graduate Entry) is included.

Eligibility

Important things to note

  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' scholarships are only open for self-funded, Home (Scottish) and RUK fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time, on-campus, one year, Masters programme. 
  • All Home and RUK offer holders will be automatically considered for an award.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
