I feel so proud to be an international student at the University of Strathclyde, mainly due to the reputation of the university, not only in Scotland but in the rest of the world as well. And the campus is situated right in the city centre of the beautiful Glasgow city just adds more convenience to the student life.

I know many of the newcomers shall be hesitant, just the way I was at the beginning. However, the campus environment and the student centric approach the University of Strathclyde undertakes, coupled with a very supportive staff makes the whole experience studying here, worthwhile.

In Pakistan, we believe that tutors are our spiritual parents who help us in building our character and knowledge. I can proudly say that my tutors in this course groomed my personality and gave me immense knowledge which is helping in developing my career in Pakistan.

My highlight is the consistent encouragement available in the class seminars to ensure that each student actively participates. This has helped in building my confidence to speak at any platform. Moreover, receiving international students at the airport and making them comfortable also helped in allowing me to settle down, it felt like home.

My time at Strathclyde has been absolutely amazing, from the friends that I have made to the teachers I have met. The meaningful experience and exposure I got, gave me a whole different perspective on life and what I really want to do.

Being an international student, I had a thought like, “I am going to miss the festival celebrations with family and hanging out with friends once I am away”. But believe me, I was wrong. Starting from Holi to Diwali every festival is celebrated here and I was surprised.
