Pre-arrival guideArrival in Glasgow

Welcome to Glasgow

Arriving in Glasgow for the first time may seem daunting, but you will soon call it home.

The city centre is quite small. It's easy to get around without needing to use public transport.

The University's campus is located just a few minutes walk from the main city centre square (George Square) and the two main train stations (Glasgow Central and Queen Street). If you do get lost, just ask someone, they will be happy to help!

Culture shock

For many international students it’s common to experience some culture shock on arrival in the UK.

The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) have prepared a guide on facing culture shock to help you settle into life in the UK.
