Study with usImpact of industrial action

Members of the main Trade Union for lecturers in Scotland’s college (EIS-FELA) are currently taking strike action, which began on Monday 20 May 2024 and is planned to continue to Friday 7 June 2024. Some lecturers in the Union have also been taking action short of strike (ASOS) since the middle of February. At the moment, strike action and ASOS are due to end in July, but we are aware that, for some students, these actions might delay marking of their final college exams and assessments.

At the University of Strathclyde, we want to make sure that new entrants can begin their studies with us smoothly in September, and so we will try our best to make sure no one suffers disadvantage if their results are delayed by issues outside their control. We are speaking with our partner colleges and will be working through the summer to process applications and results – to help all new students who are joining us to do so as planned.
