We are delighted to offer this opportunity again to join undergraduate students in their first year lectures and get a real flavour of what studying is like as an undergraduate student. The classes have been adapted for Open Campus students so there are no exams or assessments, providing intellectually stimulating opportunities to undertake non-accredited learning.
In 2025/26 we are offering the Open Campus classes in association with the Strathclyde Law School and the Department of Social Work and Social Policy.
Classes include: Criminal Law & Evidence, Private Issues & Public Problems and Social Policy & Society in Contemporary Scotland.
Bridget Bruce (CLL student) tells us of her Open Campus experience...
I loved joining the undergrad students for the 1st Year Criminal Law & Evidence course. The material was fascinating and informative. I originally thought this would be a good course to do should I ever be called for jury duty... but it offered much more. It was probably the most personally enriching course I've done. It was presented by 2 lecturers who were excellent, both with their own unique style. Hearing the interactions of young 1st year students on the subject matter was interesting too for someone now in their senior years. Some surprises! Great course.
