2025 IOP Bates Prize
Dr. James McGilligan from the University of Strathclyde has been awarded the 2025 IOP Bates Prize for sustained contributions and innovative research that allow the translation of atomic and laser-based quantum technologies from the laboratory to real-world applications. Dr. McGilligan is invited to give a Bates Prize Talk at the IOP Quantum, Atomic and Molecular Physics (QuAMP) Conference. This year QuAMP is due to be held in Newcastle 2-4 September 2025.
