24-hour opening

The Library is open 24 hours a day, every day, before and during formal assessment periods.

24-hour opening for Semester 2 begins at 07:00 on Monday 24 March.

Library & IT Enquiries during 24-hour opening

During 24-hour opening our enquiries desk is usually staffed:

• From 09:00 until 20:00 from Monday to Thursday
• From 09:00 until 17:00 on Fridays
• From 12:00 until 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays

Archives & Special Collections Reading Room

The Archives & Special Collections Reading Room is open by appointment only. Email archives@strath.ac.uk to make an appointment.

Closing bells

If you are studying towards the end of the day, you may hear our closing bells. We ring the closing bells:

• twice approximately 30 minutes before closing
• twice approximately 20 minutes before closing
• three times ten minutes before closing

If the Library is very busy, we may ring the bells again before closing. Please make sure you begin to pack up your things and make your way out of the Library at least ten minutes before we are due to close. This helps our staff make sure the building is securely closed on time.
