Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2024
Instead of a prize draw, and on receiving feedback from postgraduate research students, a donation of £2 per respondent was made to the charity Student Minds.
The charity said:
We are extremely grateful for the University of Strathclyde Doctoral School's generous support for Student Minds.
The £2,196 you have donated on behalf of student respondents to the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey will enable us to continue improving university communities so that the mental health of all students is a priority. Our work includes supporting universities to provide an environment and culture that reduces poor mental health and supports good mental health. We empower students to look after their own mental health and be there for peers who are struggling. We also conduct research into underexplored issues students are facing, and share recommendations for national change with the government and the higher education sector.
The work we do wouldn’t be possible without the support of institutions like yourselves. On behalf of everyone here at Student Minds, thank you - it really means a lot.
