The University of Strathclyde acknowledges that students and staff bring different cultures, lifestyles, experience, ideas and knowledge to the learning, research and working environment.
We are committed to providing an environment where students, staff, visitors and contractors are treated with dignity and respect. Unacceptable behaviour has no place at the University. Any form of discrimination, harassment, victimisation or bullying will not be tolerated.
As a result, we have a Dignity and Respect policy, developed to emphasise this commitment and to outline support mechanisms available for the Strathclyde community. In addition, we are currently recruiting a network of Dignity and Respect Advisers who will provide confidential advice and support to any person experiencing bullying or harassment. This network will be launched early in 2023.
However, if you require the support of a Dignity & Respect Adviser at this time, assistance can be provided by an impartial member of the Equality & Diversity or Human Resources’ team.
If you require any advice or wish to speak in confidence please contact dignityandrespect@strath.ac.uk
Report & Support
As part of Strathclyde’s Safe360 project, we are committed to a safe campus for all and believe everyone who is a part of the University community: staff, students and visitors has a responsibility in ensuring this is the case. Report & Support is a facility where anyone can disclose behaviours or issues they believe puts the safety of the Strathclyde community at risk.
You can use the Report & Support form to report problematic behaviours such as harassment, stalking or discrimination or to raise concerns about safety, and issues that undermine our inclusive University.
Students may also contact University Counselling Service and staff may also seek external counselling from Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
It is the responsibility of all students, staff, visitors and contractors to conduct and interact in a fair and respectful manner at all times.
We can all make a difference through leading by example, contributing ideas and suggestions. Please share these with the Equality and Diversity office:
