I am very pleased to announce that Sue Rawcliffe has now successfully completed her PhD in Social Work funded through an ESRC studentship, a great success I'd like to share with everyone. Sue's thesis is entitled 'Aspirations and experiments: a long view of the role of 'community' in social welfare provision in the west of Scotland'', supervised by Bernard Harris and Graham Crow (Edinburgh University).
