Launching 2018: New MSc Criminology (Research Methods)

The School of Social Work and Social Policy is delighted to announce an exciting new Masters in Criminology (Research Methods) that will be offered in 2018.

Designed and led by Dr Beth Weaver and Professor Laura Piacentini, this new course aims to directly meet ESRC subject specific training requirements for Criminology.

The course will offer students wishing to undertake research training in Criminology a series of generic research methods and skills modules alongside discipline specific modules and a dissertation. It will offer students with existing postgraduate qualifications that do not meet ESRC training requirements a route to a funded PhD studentship.

The course is unique at Strathclyde in that it will also offer students interested in further postgraduate study the opportunity to undertake a standalone Masters degree in Criminological research methods.
