International conference:

“Human Rights, Policy, Theory and Practice”

Laura Piacentini has been invited to give the Key-Note Address at an international conference: “Human Rights, Policy, Theory and Practice”, which takes place at the Institute of Sociology at the Romanian Academy of Sciences in Bucharest, Romania.

The conference will bring international criminologists and prison law experts together to discuss and debate human rights challenges in the former Soviet Union and beyond.

Laura’s paper is titled, "Sociological and Criminological Understandings of Human Rights in Russian Prisons".

The event takes place on the 7th and 8th of September.
