Postgraduate courses in Social Work
Our postgraduate Social Work programmes are designed in the knowledge that forward-thinking, innovative and socially-motivated academic study can make an enormous difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Our students gain the practical skills and experience required to become capable, compassionate social workers, while the theoretical underpinning can also prepare graduates for future research. Some programmes offer assessed placement opportunities, offering students hands-on experience working in settings linked to future employment or research opportunities.

Our students

Elaine Hamilton
MSc Advanced Residential Child Care
The conversations, observations and sharing of insight amongst my classmates really made the course for me. I found myself surrounded by people who really got it...This gave me a real sense of community within the sector and opened my eyes to the realisation that others shared my passion and desires.

Colyn Burbank
MSW Social Work
It’s a great investment. I appreciate that it's classroom focused so I can learn from the seasoned professionals in the field and understand social work from different perspectives.

Neil McMillan
MSc Advanced Residential Childcare
I knew that completing the MSc in Advanced Residential Child Care would qualify me for registration. Also, the qualification had such a good reputation in the residential child care sector because of the curriculum content and the quality of teaching on the programme.
