Student projectsInternational Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT)

On the 9th February, fourth year BA Primary education student, Kieran Gemmell, will be visiting  Norway as a delegate at the annual International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT).  Kieran has been chosen to represent Scotland at the conference and will meet with over 450 students from across the globe.

ISFiT is the world’s largest international student festival with a vision to create a better future for young people in the world.   ISFiT brings together students to tackle problems and to create change. This year’s theme is discrimination and there are workshops, with internationally recognised speakers, aimed at exploring various aspects of this topic.  Kieran will be participating in the education workshops, particularly focusing on issues related to children. There will also be events allowing students to share their cultural knowledge and experiences.

Kieran aims to share this experience with his peers on his return to Strathclyde.  He will also be blogging about his experiences during the festival.  You can follow Kieran on Twitter: @KieranTwinThing
