2018Philosophy with Children: what’s it all about?

Lord Hope Building, University of Strathclyde
Wednesday 16 May 2018
16:30 – 18:30

Heard about Philosophy with Children and not sure what it is?  Interested in having practical philosophy sessions in your school, library, nursery, church, community centre?  Looking for evidence that Philosophy with Children has a positive impact on children’s cognitive, social and emotional lives? Thinking about the Attainment Challenge? Want to learn to facilitate Philosophy with Children?

Then come along to Strathclyde University’s School of Education to meet the Philosophy with Children and Communities Network and find answers to these questions, and more.  We’ll explain what practical Philosophy with Children is, share some projects with you and give you the opportunity to participate in practical philosophy yourself.

The event is open to anyone who works with children, no previous knowledge or experience of education or philosophy is required.  Places are limited, so register now.

Register for the event.
