Research for physical education, health and wellbeing in turbulent and precarious times

Professor David Kirk gave a Keynote Paper to the 4th International Conference of CRIFPE at the Palais de Congres, Montreal, Canada, 18-19 May 2017. The title of the paper was 'Research for physical education, health and wellbeing in turbulent and precarious times'. CRIFPE is a mainly French-language educational research conference attracting over 1200 participants from 40 countries. Professor Kirk drew on a Stenhousean approach to curriculum as specification. He argued for programmes of research that support differentiated pedagogies for the development of learning outcomes in the affective domain, concerned with valuing, motivation and resilience.
