Dragons Den STEM win

Primary Education students recently won future funding to significantly extend their unique Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) Education Clinics in Primary Schools across Scotland. The team, comprised of Initial Teacher Education undergraduates and postgraduates, successfully competed in Dragons’ Den event at the recent Strathclyde Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Annual Conference. They were commended by Professor Sir Jim McDonald for their ‘innovative and sector-leading’ work in his keynote address.

Academic Project Lead Robert Collins has subsequently been invited to present at the Annual International VIP Consortium Conference at the Georgia Institute of Technology to advise on the introduction of VIP pedagogy into humanities courses in the United States.
