The School of Education has risen two places in the Complete University Guide for 2016 from 7th to 5th place among UK teacher education institutions. Professor David Kirk, Head of the School said: "This is a fantastic achievement built on the high quality of our initial teacher education provision. We can expect to see further improvements as we continue to develop our research intensity and quality, which is one of the criteria used to assess institutions alongside entry standards, student satisfaction and graduate prospects. It is also very satisfying to see that four Scottish universities feature in the top 10 in the UK".
