During her visit for the inaugural David Stow Lecture (find out more about the lecture), Professor Diane Mayer of the University of Sydney engaged in several events for colleagues and students in the School. In addition to her stimulating lecture ‘Transitional Teacher Education in Globalised and Neoliberal Contexts’, Professor Mayer joined the School’s Staff Development Reading Group to explore some of her recent work in more detail. She also ran an evening seminar for invited students from the School of Education. Undergraduate and postgraduate students joined newly qualified teachers to discuss Professor Mayer's research focusing on 'learning teaching' and teacher education.
